Since we were there over a Sunday we decided a little family history would be appropriate. I looked up some of my (Brett's) ancestors who lived in the Dover area. We hit the jackpot. We found and interesting history of our family that lived in a fort in Bloody Point (great name). In 1689, the fort was attached by Indians in revenge for Price Phillip's war several decades prior and a number of our ancestors were killed or taken captive. One great grandmother was kidnapped and then rescued by her future husband in the place where we spent our 15th anniversary (North Conway, NH). A little more information here:

The kids loved the family history side.
We stayed in a hotel with about 2 beds two few. After a couple of hours of Ro Ro trying to find a comfortable spot on the double bed Adrienne and I were sharing, Mom decided to take the cushion bed on the floor. She wants a bed like that for home.
That night the kids played in the tidal pool until dark.
And explored the rocks.
That night we also watched the moon rise at the beach. What an amazing sight. At one point Charlotte, who was not really paying attention, said, "It looks like there is a space ship over there." It was in fact the red moon creeping over the horizon.
Adrienne and I posed for the couple shot (I have to sneak myself into a few shots so that history cannot just stick some generic 'Dad' in my place without anyone being able to prove otherwise).
The next day was a beach day. We relaxed, body boarded, and threw the Frisbee and got a few last rays.
A classic shot of Adrienne getting a classic shot.

Olivia managed to get herself pretty wet trying to pose for a photo. Mom showed her how the little Mermaid gets things done.
Of course we can't forget Char. Looking glamorous as always.
Let's sneak in a few shots with me too.
Adrienne is like a movie star that knows good PR. She will smile when any golmer step next to her for a photo.
Overall, judging by Ro Ro's nap, it was a good trip.
