With winter breaking in theory, our favorite ice cream spot, Ice Cream Fore U, has opened again. It serves massive amounts of ice cream and though you feel like a wimp ordering a "baby," you and your belt size are glad you did. Some of the flavors do require some translation, including Moose Track and Lobster Tail. The good news is that the prices are good, though slowly rising like everything else in this country. The best part is that there is a good play ground out back to occupy the kids longs after ice cream is gone.
Today we made our first to at ice cream and play ground time. I am not sure Mother Nature heard about spring, because it was a bitter wind out there. Despite the temperature, most I this kids insisted on wearing flip flops. I found a nice compromise, a hot fudge sundae on a cold date (after all, "hot" is in the title, right). I also snapped a few photos of the kiddies at play.
Patrick went for the cherry vanilla and muse whether or not that ice cream might make the perfect compliment to a caffeine free Coke float.
Locke did not care about the cold and opted for shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops. I do not remember Locke actually having the cleavage of a 50-something grandmother, but this photo seems ot suggest otherwise. Strange.
Patrick, Locke, and I attempted to demonstrate various achievements of agility and strength. I think for the first time ever, Patrick could do something that I could not do. I guess it is time to put me out to pasture. I am not even 40 yet!
Char looks cool as always.
Locke doing a little Ansel Adams look on the mushrooms.
